Ability to communicate clearly through verbal and written communications.
Ability to educate patients and their family members about preparations for diagnostic procedures, tests, medications, nutrition, and the maintenance of health and wellness.
Responsible for triage and response to patient phone calls for an assigned provider and others as needed; accurate documentation of all patient communication.
Assess urgent/emergent patient symptoms for appointment preference; demonstrate ability to react calmly and effectively in emergent situations.
Inform provider regarding patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments; as directed by provider, explain test results and/or treatment plans to patients.
Communicates orders, conditions, and/or treatment plans as directed by the provider.
Treats patients and families with respect and dignity.
Maintains professional working relationships with physicians and all staff members.
Interacts positively with other offices, hospitals, pharmacies, etc.
Manage recall process for assigned provider; update patient information and report problems and pertinent health changes to provider.
Provide coverage for other nurses or MA's as assigned on daily schedule and as needed for illness or vacations; team oriented to contribute to positive and efficient work environment.
Demonstrate understanding of safety precautions and emergency plans to maintain a safe work environment and quality control standards.
Physical Activities and Requirements
Possesses good physical health, capable of working in a demanding environment.
Able to perform the basic functions of the job including extended hours, standing, bending, and stretching with frequent trips to all areas of the Center.
Able to lift, and carry supplies and equipment as needed.
Possessed manual dexterity, hearing acuity, and visual acuity are important to the performance of the job tasks.
Speaks clearly and distinctly to perform extensive communication with other staff members, patients, and their families /escorts and physicians.
Appears professional at all times.
Wears scrub attire as dictated in the Center’s dress code.
Candidate requirements
Active RN license in the state of Washington
1 year of RN experience is preferred, but new grads are welcome
