As a Payroll Specialist at Gastro Health, your role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. You will be responsible for managing payroll data, calculating wages, and addressing any payroll-related inquiries. Your attention to detail, knowledge of payroll systems, and adherence to payroll regulations contribute to the smooth and efficient payroll operations. Your dedication to maintaining confidentiality, addressing payroll discrepancies, and providing exceptional customer service to employees supports Gastro Health in maintaining employee satisfaction and compliance with payroll policies.

Duties you will be responsible for:
- Assist in the bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Compile internal payroll reports as needed.
- Process payroll changes in preparation for payroll processing.
- Process child support and other garnishments.
- Process deductions for benefits, PTO, 401K, etc.
- Process post payroll items.
- Reconcile and process HSA biweekly employee contributions.
- Maintain payroll records.
- Maintain records to conform to EEO regulations.
- Liaison with physicians, employees and insurance broker and 401k pension plan managers regarding day to day issues and concerns.
- Assist with Termination administration.
- Assist Employment Verifications.
- Assist with unemployment claims/issues.
- Assist with onboarding of newly Merged & Acquired groups.
- Assist with scheduling Manager training (payroll portion).
- Other duties/projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School education, prefer some college or specialty.
- Experience with a multi state practice
- Payroll experience and/or administrative experience (1-2 years).
- UKG Payroll experience preferred
- Strong numeracy skill, data entry accuracy, audit and multi-tasking abilities.
- Hybrid role; Onsite 1-2 days per week
