Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Scheduling Coordinator to join our team!

Duties you will be responsible for:

  • Perform duties that prepare the patient for office appointments and endoscopy procedures.
  • Prepares patient registration and procedure preparation paperwork.
  • Greets, assists and checks in patients for appointments and procedures at all GA locations.
  • Answers multiple telephone lines, screens calls and forwards as needed, and returns voice messages.
  • Schedules and reschedules appointments and procedures
  • Coordinates hospital procedures and records with hospital staff
  • Stocks clerical supplies
  • Balances cash drawer/till
  • Collects registration data and completes logs.
  • Completes insurance benefits authorization and insurance/other data entry in the medical record.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High school graduate or GED.
    • Previous medical reception, scheduling and customer service experience.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
    • Knowledge of insurance data entry preferred.
    • Ability to speak English clearly, understand and follow oral and written instructions and have excellent communication skills.
    • Able to read, write, punctuate, spell, calculate and count back money accurately.
    • Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric system.
    • Ability to use phone system including hold, forward, voicemail and intercom
    • Computer skills, Microsoft Word, calculator, fax, printer and copier proficient
