This position reports to the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer (“GC/CCO”) and is primarily responsible for assisting the management of Gastro health’s general corporate, governance, contract management, risk management and compliance/privacy matters. Supports GC/CCO to ensure compliance per Gastro Health policies and federal/state law.

Duties you will be responsible for:
Provide legal and administrative assistance to GC/CCO, outside counsel, and management.
Assist in compliance and privacy matters including internal investigations, risk assessments, Department projects and policy review and drafting
Assist in general operational legal matters including patient complaints/incidents, employment matters and employment/contractor/vendor agreement review and drafting
Maintain up-to-date corporate records, manage corporate documents/licenses/permits, and company contract database.
Support the GC/CCO’s activities during Company M&A processes, including, but not limited to, due diligence
Company initial contact for Compliance/Legal Department
Knowledge & Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Comprehensively review and accurately interpret the terms of contracts, regulations and to ensure the terms and specific language comply with company guidelines and policies
Requires exercising good judgment in drafting and negotiating appropriate contractual terms to ensure mitigation of risk (financial and regulatory) to the Company and escalating to the GC/CCO when appropriate
Strong analytical and writing skills
Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner
Minimum requirements:
Minimum 3 – 5 years of legal administrative corporate experience in law firm or corporate legal department, preferably with in-house healthcare provider experience.
Paralegal degree/certification, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Certifications in Healthcare Compliance or Healthcare Privacy is preferred
