IT Technician responsibilities are:
Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade operating systems and company approved software
Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions
Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade workstation hardware and peripherals (includes network cards, printers, modems, KVM, disk drives, audio cards, memory, motherboard, and all other related equipment)
Utilize help desk software to document problems, resolutions, and closures
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network
Establish user profiles, user environments, directories, and security (including anti-virus) for networks
Performs maintenance on all systems according to vendor standards
Able to lift and exert force up to 10 pounds
Assist IT team with any projects that relate to IT needs for Gastro Health.
First technical point of contact for all admin data needs. This includes but is not exclusive to, personal computers, monitors, printers, copiers, scanners, mobile devices, remote access, etc.
Responsible for closing all tickets assigned to this position in a timely fashion.
IT Technician requirements are:
BA degree preferred, AS degree required.
Minimum 1-2 years of work experience as an IT technician.
Working knowledge of PC and server hardware configurations, maintenance and troubleshoot.
Evening and weekend work in response to needs of the system.
A+ Certified.
Working knowledge of MS Server environments, MS Exchange, MS operating systems, SQL database, Linux OS, Terminal Services (MS Remote Desktop Protocol and/or VNC); Cisco PIX PDM, SSH Protocol, MS Office products.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
Ability to install, configure, and maintain personal computers, networks, and related hardware and software.
Ability to learn and support new hardware, software, and operating systems.
Multitasking is a key trait required.
Critical thinker.
Customer Service skills should be polished and a must.
Effective Communicator.
Knowledge of HIPAA laws as they pertain to the use of computer software.
